Where coastline meets countryside, the setting of The Oaks could not be better - situated in a wooded area surrounded by established oak trees, the peacefulness of this secluded area could almost mislead you into thinking you are further inland than you are - but with the beach at Whitstable just a short distance away there is something for everyone.

 

Set off on foot, and follow the Crab and Winkle Way, visit the seafront pub, The Neptune, for a tipple in the Sun overlooking the sea, or head along to the award winning, Michelin-starred restaurant, The Sportsman, for a fine dining tasting menu.

 

The historic city of Canterbury is also just a short journey by road or rail, with its famous Cathedral and punting tours if the city experience is more for you.
